It was wonderful to work with Kailey for her senior portraits. Time flew by and the weather was perfect. There were a few clouds and a slight breeze, which was welcome after the few hot days we had earlier in the week.
For her portraits, Kailey wanted a warm and inviting feeling since that is her personality (and is perfect because she has the most amazing smile). She also loves the urban/city look so we chose to take her photos on Broadway St. in Downtown Green Bay, WI to take them. We also found a nice little park near the water to take some photos at the end for some gorgeous images with natural backgrounds.
Kailey will graduate in 2015 from Bay Port High School in Green Bay. She enjoys charity work and helping others so it is no surprise that she plans to major in nursing. And, if you personally know Kailey, you know she will be a compassionate and caring nurse.
Choosing what to wear for a session can be difficult. For her outfits, Kailey layered her clothing and wore simple silver feather earrings, which were perfect! She also added a simple neckless if her outfits seemed too plain. Her advice for choosing clothing for senior photos is to “choose a variety of styles but make sure they are still you!” This advice could not be more perfect! Her outfits provided us with a lot of variety, which is great for creating different looks but she was also comfortable wearing them.
I have mentioned in previous posts that I love asking clients what their advice would be for future clients. Kailey’s advice is “Don’t be afraid to tell the photographer what you want/feel.” I cannot stress the importance of this! I am here to help create photos that show your personality, but I often do not know you very well. I have a client survey but if you have something in mind never be afraid to let me know.
Be sure to check back in the fall for her second session with beautiful fall colors!
